Microsoft co-authored the DMARC standard, enabling customers to protect their domains from being spoofed.
I think that adopting BIMI [enabling BIMI rendering in Microsoft mailboxes] is a great way to encourage more businesses to adopt DMARC as a standard and reduce spoofed emails hitting their infrastructure.
This would essentially be the visible enforcement mechanism for the DMARC ecosystem Microsoft helped create.
While there may be a challenge or two getting this operational, I believe that there is a significant benefit for Microsoft in getting this done.
