'Work - Edge' Desktop Shortcut Reappears after deleting and reopening Edge Browser
End user removes the spam Desktop shortcut labeled 'Work - Edge': Once they reopen the Edge browser, the app shortcut reappears.
Hi Everyone - The fix for this was released to Microsoft Edge Beta Version 117.0.2045.12. If you have access to the Beta Channel, please test and let us know if the issue has been resolved.
The fix should also be included in the next Stable release, which should be later this week if there are no delays. Thanks!

Not ideal but a fix for me was going into Edge - Settings - Appearance and turning off the toggle for Show briefcase icon on work profiles. Restarted Edge, removed shortcuts and it's fixed it.
Is this a userprofile fix or by machine fix?

netipmbr Unfortunately until Microsoft actually fixes the issue it is by user profile.
I have started taking the Edge, Chrome and Teams links off the desktop and pinning them to taskbar, which doesn't replicate them.
- That's right and it's indeed terrible.

This means the same user has to do it on every machine they sign into. Not really an ideal fix for those who have users signing in to multiple machines.
