SSO no more working with EntraID on Hybrid AzureAD systems with multiple profiles on Edge

Hello,

 

We're having problems with SSO when using Edge with several profiles.
We have our computers on W10 22H2 Enterprise and Edge in version 120 and they are in hybrid join.
And everything worked perfectly until about two months ago.

 

To better understand how we work, we have our standard profile which is automatically synchronised with our Windows account and we allow users who need to connect with an account that has privileged rights to use several profiles in Edge. In this way, they can add their EntraID account directly to Edge and only need to connect to their profile once to be able to move between the different administration portals.

 

But this no longer works and I don't understand what the problem is.
When users use their profile for privileged actions, they have to log in once to their Edge profile in the top right-hand corner so that it can be synchronised, and each time they are asked to "Stay connected with their applications" and authorise the organisation to manage their devices.

Then, when they go to an EntraID or Azure admin portal, they have to authenticate again, whereas previously they only needed to authenticate once.

 

I'd like to understand why SSO no longer works and how to get it back when it used to work fine.
Otherwise I'm afraid that users will do something different or use a different browser.

  • el-fe Hello - You mentioned that the SSO stopped working a couple of months ago.  Was it around the time when Edge was updated to a new version?  Or were there any other changes to your environment/device around that time?  Thanks!

      Kelly_Y Hello, yes it was after an edge update. I'm sure that it was working on 118 version not so sure if it started with the 119 or 120 version.
