Shared configuration/settings across insider channels/final release

We have identified something strange with the functionality of IE-mode in a very specific order of operations. 

1. if you install Beta or final ONLY >> IE-mode doesn't allow printing or calls JAVA applications. 

2. When attempting the same actions in DEV or CANARY we first notice a prompt to enable IE mode, click allow, and now IE mode is working perfectly.

3. IE mode is ALSO working perfectly in BETA and FINAL on the same PC even after uninstalling DEV or CANARY

What exactly are we seeing here? registry changes? Would really like to have the final release IE-mode working as if we preformed this work-around. 

Edit** Beta appears to be bumped up to v80 and these issues appear to be resolved in this version. v79 is falling short for us.
