Retirement of IE11 and IE mode 'standalone' option

    lexcyn - You won't be able to launch the IE11 stand-alone application from the enterprise mode site list manager. That checkbox will go away. IE mode is the path forward for any app or site that needs IE11 for any reason. If IE mode isn't working for a specific site or app, please let us know so we can fix any gaps with the feature.

lexcyn Hi!  Yes, after the IE11 desktop application is retired, IE11 will redirect to Microsoft Edge. 

 

Do you have sites in your organization that do not work in Microsoft Edge using IE mode and require the IE11 desktop application?  Here is some information from the FAQ (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/internet-explorer-11-desktop-app-retirement-faq/ba-p/2366549) If you’re an organization and experience compatibility issues such as an error loading a site, please connect with the App Assure team for remediation assistance. Sorry I think you misunderstood. In the IE mode site list, there is an option to set incompatible sites to 'standalone' which launch a new IE window. Will that option be removed? We have hundreds of sites that are already working in regular IE mode and only a few require standalone mode, but if that is going away, we will need to notify the devs.

If it's easier I can attach a screenshot when I'm back at my work computer of the option I'm talking about.
