restricting Edge extensions disables the Discover App.

Using beta 112.0.1722.39 (also release build), I have found that restricting Edge extensions disables the Discover App.  (and that there is little to no documentation on this)

We have the Intune Edge security baseline applied, which sets 'Control which extensions cannot be installed' to * (all) and requires admins to whitelist desired extensions.

When 'Control which extensions cannot be installed' is set, the "show discover setting" is disabled with a suitcase icon next to it indicating corporate policy.  note that "show discover" being disabled is even  with HubsSidebarEnabled set to true.

When 'Control which extensions cannot be installed' is not configured, the "show discover" setting works normally.

Does anyone know of a way to restrict extensions and allow the Discover app to work?  like whitelisting it as an allowed extension?

What is the best way to prompt ms to enhance the documentation on this apparent interdependency?

This page actually has helpful info:

Manage the sidebar in Microsoft Edge | Microsoft Learn

you can determine the sidebar app extensions with this edge://sidebar-internals

When I whitelist these apps the discover app is working (even with ExtensionInstallBlockList set to *).
