re UEV, yep, thats what we went to after testing. Work folders gives us the full offline benefits - and we only use UEV for a small set of apps - interestingly no MS apps 😉

FYI this is also being discussed at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/keep-favorites-synced-between-internet-explorer-and-edge-not/m-p/1120727, where it appears Microsoft is adding support for Chromium's RoamingProfileSupportEnabled feature to help backup the bookmarks to another location. Posting here in case anyone isn't aware of the other thread.
