Profile setup and Sync change between AD and Azure AD?

Did something change in the latest Canary build with how the first profile is setup? I started up 81.0.385.0 on a fresh install of windows 10. Opened it up and it automatically setup a profile with my AD credentials domain\kjolafsson   However previously it was setup with kolafsson@company.com 

Now I have two profiles in Canary Edge. One that Syncs and one that does not.   One is also marked as a work account and the other isn't the little breifcase icon
