New IE11 syntax in Enterprise Mode Site List / Problem with Classic Edge

Hi all

The new syntax introduced with Edge C

<site url=contoso.com>
    <open-in app=true>IE11</open-in>
</site>

is not recognized by Classic Edge. If a EMSL contains this syntax, Classic Edge will not update the EMSL anymore and says "There is a problem.....". Is there an update planned to Classic Edge? If not, we have to duplicate the EMSL and update both during the migration. One for Edge C and one for Classic Edge.

Furtheremore, will the new syntax be reflected to the Enterprise Mode Site List Manager?

    Does anyone know when the new Enterprise Mode Site List Manager will be released? We're now months further on and the new syntax ref "app-true" is sorely needed. I can't really use the app at the moment as the "app=true" gets removed.

        <open-in app=true>IE11</open-in>
    </site>

  • stesch79 @Joe_D150 please try the following syntax:

    <site url=contoso.com>
        <open-in app="true">IE11</open-in>
    </site>

    The syntax will be added to the Enterprise Site List manager, but there is no timeline at this moment.

      Adrian_Guta  Yes indeed! Now it works! They better correct  the guide https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployEdge/edge-ie-mode#updated-schema-elements :-)

    stesch79  Hi. That is a good catch, especially as we may need to live with Edge and Edge C for a bit while we test.
