Need help with MS Edge startup behavior
I am new here and was directed from Reddit to this forum.
I have a question for you folks I am hoping for some advice or solution.
I am having a great deal of problems trying to set the behavior for MS Edge when I deploy my Windows 11 computer lab stations. Some of these are Workgroup and some of these are domain joined computers.
for each scenario, I want to enforce a few small behaviors if possible.
skip all the first run stuff that is presented. I realize with Edge being updated using task scheduler, this may not be possible anymore.
force the homepage to a specific URL relevant to my workplace. Possibly even 2 pages. Our public page, and then a second internal URL that would be for staff.
Can this still be accomplished? I've discovered that the Windows 11 local policy settings point to the original legacy Edge program. Like pretty much everyone using Windows 10 and Windows 11, I'm using the Chromium (Edge for Business) versions these no longer apply.
The Edge policy bundle is not a solution for my workgroup pcs.
Has anyone got a sure-fire method to set the behaviors described above?
Thank You,

SMD-204 Welcome! First, all of the Microsoft Edge enterprise documentation can be found at aka.ms/deployedge. There is a section called "Configure Microsoft Edge" which might be helpful to decide the best way to set up the browser.
If you need the Microsoft Edge (Chromium) policy files, they can be downloaded here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download?form=MA13FJ
The corresponding policy documentation is here: Microsoft Edge Browser Policy Documentation | Microsoft Learn
If you decide to use policies, I think the best place to start is by taking a look at the HideFirstRunExperience policy. The policy description also has some additional policies you might want to take a look at.
