MicrosoftMicrosoft Edge: QuickView Feature
In Microsoft Edge v96, the QuickView feature was added and allows users to view Office files (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) on the web.
Administrators can manage it using the QuickViewOfficeFiles...
We have this disabled by GPO. We now have a need for some devices to use the feature. However, during our testing, when we make the registry change the document is still downloading. Is there a way to change the behavior? We are setting up an AD security group to have this policy changed to enabled for select devices a long term solution but I am concerned that the added devices will not have the documents open in the browser.

MicrosoftLARhoades Hello - One thing to call out, this feature will only work for publicly accessible Office files on the web that aren’t on OneDrive or SharePoint. Here is a link to the policy doc: Microsoft Edge Browser Policy Documentation | Microsoft Learn
If you are still having problems with the policy, it would be best to reach out to Support
https://support.serviceshub.microsoft.com/supportforbusiness. They will need to gather logs and your policy information to investigate further. Thanks!
