Enable IE mode in Edge
Hi ,
I am trying to Enable IE mode in Edge by following wiki https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/enterprise/manual-how-to-set-up-ie-mode-internet-explorer-integration-in/m-p/774900#M94 .I am stuck on 1st step , not able to find any flag as "Enable IE Integration" on edge. I have also tried to enable IE mode by adding command line parameter " --ie-mode-test" while starting edge.
Can someone please help me , how can i find this flag/enable IE mode.

- mindstIron ContributorYou need to use group policy for that, If you want to test, you can add GP files locally or add settings directly to registry.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies
You can start from these:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#internetexplorerintegrationlevel
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#internetexplorerintegrationsitelist
And then go for other related to internet explorer integration.- gpatidarCopper Contributor
mindst Thanks for your input , Now i am able to enable IE mode in edge.
IE mode in edge only works if Internet Explorer 11 is turned on as feature in windows. If we turn off Internet Explorer as a feature in windows , IE mode in edge do not works.
As per my understanding IE mode in Edge have hard dependency on IE11 . We can not run IE mode in Edge after removing IE11.
My question :-
1. Will MicroSoft continue to support(bug fixes , any vulnerability or security fixes) in IE11 ,since IE mode in edge will require this at-least ? If yes , for how long ... is there any deadline from microsoft before which customers need to remove IE mode means removing IE 11 from the OS.

gpatidar Hi! More information about IE can be found here: IE mode FAQ | Microsoft Docs
"We're committed to keeping Internet Explorer a supported, reliable, and safe browser. Internet Explorer is still a component of Windows and follows the support lifecycle of the OS on which it's installed. For details, see Lifecycle FAQ - Internet Explorer. While Microsoft continues to support and update Internet Explorer, the latest features and platform updates will only be available in Microsoft Edge."
