Difference in operation of IE and Edge

1. Default browser is IE
a. Start the csv file by specifying server path
b. IE screen disappears.
c. View and track your downloads is displayed.

2.Default browser is Edge
a. Start the csv file by specifying server path
b. Edge screen does not disappear.
c. View and track your downloads is displayed.

Is this the specification of edge?
