AutoImportAtFirstRun policy not working since v97.0.1072.69
- Apr 01, 2022
muene Hello! We just released MS Edge Stable Version 100.0.1185.29 (Microsoft Edge release notes for Stable Channel | Microsoft Docs) and it should contain the fix for the AutoImportAtFirstRun policy.
Let us know if you are still having issues. Thanks!

Roald_Amundsen Hi! Can you provide a little more information? Is it just Favorites you've seen an issue and are other things importing correctly? Also, is it specifically when importing from a specific browser?
Can you share a screenshot from edge://policy/? Please remove any personal information.
I can see we've received reports on v97 that when the AutoImportAtFirstRun policy is set, users still see the First Run Experience and users are prompted to select what data to import. Is this similar to your issue? Thanks!

Hi Kelly_Y
All items, not just favorites, are not imported.
This is a screenshot of Edge://Policy.
Also, the detailed reproduction procedure is as follows.
1. set up this registry
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge]
"HideFirstRunExperience"=dword:00000001
"AutoImportAtFirstRun"=dword:00000002
"StartupBoostEnabled"=dword:00000000
2. Install Google Chrome and add your favorites, etc.
3. Delete the existing Edge user profile if it exists.
"C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data"
4. Start Edge.
In v97.0.1072.62, the Google Chrome profile is implicitly imported, but not in v97.0.1072.69.
Thanks.

Roald_Amundsen Thanks for the additional information. Have you tried to see if the issue still reproduces in v98 or newer builds like Beta Channel v99?
