Well, this is...different. Edge (dev) Version 101.0.1193.0 on Windows 11 Insider build 22971.1
Great - MS Defender works properly!
Please add - as an allowed application.

Why would it wait to do this till now?
Because updated the threat definitions - Dev applications. may not work properly with Windows, which is why I rated it as working properly
MS Defender.- It's a Microsoft application.
- Applications in the testing phase, which are Dev applications. - also Microsoft products can cause threats, of course this is the task of MS Defender to warn.
