Why doesn't Edge do touch gestures on Mac?

I tried to find a setting to enable swipe gestures via the trackpad on a Mac, but it appears that Edge straight up doesn't support it. This doesn't make sense, because every other browser, including Chrome, supports the swipe forwards/backwards gestures (i.e. using three fingers to swipe left/right). I'd like to see this supported! Anyone else have any info about this? Thanks
