What?! Why is there the fluent new tab icon only for the guest profile?
Hello Insiders! Today I noticed something weird... When I log in to Edge as a guest, I see the new fluent tab icon: But not on my profile: View best response #2
- When you're browsing as a guest, you're getting Edge/Chromium internal new tab page, which has the new icon.
When you're browsing under a regular user (your profile), MSN/Bing web new tab page (the one with bookmarks, news, etc.) loads instead. It still has the old icon.
This is fixed now in Edge Version 89.0.773.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)
