Hi Simon,

When we come to like something we have had a while, it grows on one, gets to feel comfy & taken for granted as de rigueur.  In regard to yellow folders is the realism, they look like, actual, manila folders & we reckon they are supposed to be that way.  To be candid, I rather like them, too... because of the realism.  BUT, in spite of the fact that we like to hold on to the familiar there is a reason for outlines, consistency of design, look & feel.  And, everything (else) everywhere is outlines, ergo, here we are.  

On a personal note, it does ring of the round vs square corner debate... the magnitude of concern can be undeserving.  Neither seem critical nor make or break issues.  Personally, I find some (cosmetic) details, I have to accept & carry on focused on what impacts productivity.  I used to outlines, now.  And, I still, know what a manila folder looks like.

But, yellow folders were  nice, looked so cool, eh?
