Weird behavior on sites saved as apps

This address bar with the lock icon has been appearing constantly when using some sites as apps in the last couple of week. I could get rid of it by reloading the site but now it's not going away, not even while watching video in fullscreen mode. It's been happening with Prime Video but only if I use it in the "app" mode, it's happened with some other sites like Youtube but it's not as persistent.

Clicking the x will just reload the site and nothing will change. Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to solve it?

Thanks

Hi there, you are welcome to the Microsoft Tech Community!

I checked your issue and could resolve your issue. The black bar you are saying that is appearing appears when the link of the website doesn't match the link of the website of PWA(Progressive Web Application).

To resolve your issue, follow these steps:

    1. Uninstall the Amazon Prime video PWA that is installed.
    2. Go to edge and Amazon Prime Video website.
    3. Log out of the Amazon account.
    4. From this greeting screen, install the PWA.

      v.  sign into the amazon account.

      vi. your issue is resolved.

That did it. I uninstalled the PWA but didn't check on "clear data".

      Thank you!
