Hello Kelly,

I just wanted to give a quick update!

So far for last week or so speech recognition on google.com has been working great with Edge current releases 149 and now 150.

 

However speech recognition on the Edge Canary builds latest I am on is 152.0.4133.0 is a hit and miss at best.

If I get lucky speech recognition works at times. Also sometimes it works but it is kind of slow hearing my voice. And most times like now it does not work at all. Also I do not seem to get the "No Network Connection" any longer instead I get the "Listening" "Please check your microphone and audio levels"

 

I hope Microsoft can fix this speech recognition issue so it works 100% of the time with all Edge browsers.

Update!

As of right now Thursday July.9,2026 11:35PM speech recognition is not working at all in both Edge version 150.0.4078.65 and Edge Canary  version 152.0.4146.0.

And yet in Chrome and Firefox it keeps working 100% of the time.
