Unwanted box full of text appears whenever my cursor enters a text input box. Pictures will explain
- Aug 03, 2022This is our autofill diagnostics box, which shouldn't be showing by default. Did you enable any flags or command line features? If not, I can ask if our switch to turn it off is still functional, or you can just reinstall Edge without keeping your data, and that should reset whatever setting is causing is.

Mine did not have full boxes of text, but would suddenly appear with strange input suggestions wherever the cursor happened to be. First thought it was only in Outlook until I searched the 'net for suggestions with similar problems (& found this thread) whereupon the drop down input textbox from my email appeared!
Tried suggested solutions & checked that my "Developer Mode" was still indeed off; it was.
Could not get any response when I right-clicked in the input box, and finally, just thought it might have to do with my Speech Recognition being on (although it had never done this before when I was not using it). Turned off my speech recognition so that it was not active at start-up; signed off, and once again opened Outlook to finish my email. All worked as expected, thank God, so that the annoying input text, drop down box no longer appear at my input cursor's position.Hope these suggestions help with your situation. Thanks, and God bless.

josh_bodner Thank you, thank you thank you.
I found that for some reason beyond me, the Show Autofill Predictions had been enabled. I have no recollection of enabling it, but wow, such a simple fix but a massive improvement. It was driving me mad, and I had no idea what to look for.
It feels like a novelty to be able to see what I am typing now.
Thanks again,Neil 🙂
