Unlimited history for not signed-in setup

Is Edge ever going to have unlimited history? This is one of the reasons I cannot use Edge as my main daily browser. 

There is even a https://browser.taokaizen.com/, also https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/navigation/history/, so clearly it is technically doable and maintaneable.

What prevents Microsoft from doing it as well?
