Touch usability partially broken on Dev and Canary since version 116

Since switching to major version 116 on Dev and Canary the touch usability on many websites is partially broken, mainly when trying to open links from a site's navigation menu or opening drop-down/pop-up menus. 

E.g. on this site https://www.df.eu/ touching Support or Login on top, or any link on the navigation menu below, simply does nothing, neither with finger touch nor stylus. It works with the mouse though.

I tested on Windows 10, 11 and Android, not sure if MacOS and Linux are affected as well. 

Btw, touch works flawlessly on Edge Stable (v 114.0.1823.67).
