So what you're saying is that you know it will work on a brand new machine, it only doesn't work on Your machine with data on it because it's somehow old, might even be corrupted or has some issues that you're not aware of.
well sometimes things do get corrupted. if your Firefox has sync on, all of data can be returned once you install it on a new Windows or machine.
my Windows 10 installation is about 6 months old and the import between Firefox and Edge works.
of course I don't have "years" of history because that alone is a security risk, plus that slows down the system and Firefox itself.

-It doesn't work on new machines or old machines, fresh Windows and browsers installed or not.
-No, my data isn't corrupted.
-I have Sync On but I don't want to risk it because login info and history never becomes the same after restoring them, also sometime it might sync that I refreshed my Firefox so it will save that I removed anything... So NO thank you so much, it's Edge's/Chromium's problem anyway.
- alteanSep 19, 2020Brass ContributorAny chance that Firefox instances use Master password? I think it prevents imports.

Ah the admins removed it and they sent me a message about it.
Funny they felt offended when I said the truth "Which is they don't do their job" and sent me a message immediately.
But when I submit a lot of issues over the past year nothing actually happens at all, not even replies!
But thanks for the heads up because I'm going to post it again. You're welcome..

Omar-Os of course, why not, If I'm in their place I would have felt offended too and by the way it's not "Funny".

Seriously?...
this user is replying to you and mention your name as well.
because you first posted a comment (now deleted) that you have problem with Firefox import and complained, he suggested the same thing I did.

Well you deleted your post that you were asking for help in the thread. but remember, this is public community, you can't tell people not to comment and it's none of their business.
so far Edge is working fine in regard to importing data from Firefox. if it's not working for you, try reinstalling Firefox, Edge or your Windows installation, data might be corrupted.
- HotCakeXSep 18, 2020MVP
You shouldn't be telling members "it's none of your business", everyone has the right to comment.
if you already sent them everything, then you don't have to mention it that you are having problem in the thread, because like you said, they already know it.
but when someone says it's working and shows you proof, and you keep saying it doesn't and refuse to show proof and in the end tell them "it's none of your business". honestly...not so polite.

Watch this carefully
Import from Firefox to Edge works fine and perfectly, without issue, that's the proof.
if you don't know how to import your data properly, please use that video to do it the correct way.
most recent version of Edge, Firefox and Windows 10, all stable.

Are you sure you read everything?
Historically we have had issues with recognizing the profile paths for non standard installations (policy driven installs, portable installs etc) so it was better for me to ask. But yes, this would be our bug and not FFs. I have taken a bug on this in our roadmap. - HotCakeXSep 18, 2020MVPSpoiler

And people are complaining everywhere.
Just because it's mistakenly/coincidentally works for you doesn't mean it works 100% and fully functional and anyone that doesn't work with him is an idiot.Mistakenly / coincidentally Lol
Oh and I do read the replies, maybe you don't?
"It seems like there's something happening in relation the specific devices that you've attempted this on, as most other users are now reportedly able to import data from Firefox just fine."

which other people? - HotCakeXSep 17, 2020MVPThen how do you explain that it's working fine for me and has been working fine?
because it's clearly NOT Edge's problem.
