Please don't add an ad blocker by default! The mobile one is really laggy. Instead i would appreciate to choose the ad blocker by my own like in desktop version!

Are you sure the existence of the ad blocker in Edge mobile is the reason it is lagyy and not the fact that it is using an old version of Chromium (version 77) ?
- smartgreenrobotOct 30, 2020Brass ContributorYou misunderstood me, HoteCakeX. It wasn't my attention to criticize Edge mobile as a whole (whereby I'm also wondering about the version number). I focus on the built-in ad blocker, which I identified as the reason for laggy behaviour on several websites in the past. Although there has been an improvement so far, I would love to install expansions in general and ublock in particular.
- HotCakeXOct 30, 2020MVPI wasn't talking about criticizing either.
what I asked was, how can you know the lag is because of the adblocker and not Edge using old Chromium version? how to identify that?- smartgreenrobotOct 30, 2020Brass Contributor
Truly simple testing: I visit a certain website twice. Once the built-in ad blocker is active and once it's not. xD
At the beginning of the development of mobile edge the difference was striking. Meanwhile - as I already admitted - the loss of speed has been reduced. Although I prefer to decide on my own how to block advertisement. And furthermore the access to extensions would be - according to me - another killer feature!
