I don't know what you mean. I'm just telling what I did to be able to open and keep open for a short moment Canary. I'm writing this comment from the same Canary build on another laptop and it works flawlessly.
I assume you haven't updated it today? 🙂

HotCakeX since you mention it, there are actually two crashes we know about right now. The one on the thread you linked to shows up as Canary just closing itself randomly. We've actually pulled the build with that issue in it, and reinstalling Canary from www.microsoftedgeinsider.com will get you a version without this crash to begin with.
The other crash happens when you right-click the back button, and is still in the build even after you reinstall it, so please try to avoid doing that for now 😊
- Dennis5mileOct 29, 2019Silver ContributorThere is also a 3rd area that keeps crashing the browser Version 80.0.315.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) at least it does for me which I reported a few days ago via Mr. Smiley. It is located in "Profiles/passwords". When you click on the eye it crashes the browser.
However, when you click the 3 "..." and choose "details" and then the eye at the bottom for the password field all works well as it is designed to.

Still on 315. Re-installed again.
When I leave it idling after installation, it seems to stay open. After installing some extensions (MS Store Chrome Store), Canary closes after a short delay.
But then, after removing all extensions and resetting Canary. it still crashes after a minute or two, even when idling in the background.
Note: the official Edge beta doesn't crash with identical extensions installed.

Hi,
Thank you, I wasn't aware of the latter 🙂
