This week we’re highlighting one piece of top feedback that’s been addressed: You can now remove the Send feedback smiley button from the toolbar. To remove it, just right click on it and choose Hide from toolbar and it will disappear from view. Thanks for the update, Is there Any ETA for when the Edge developer team can make their decisions about the "Under Review" feature requests? most of them are very important to make the Edge browser different than Google chrome and unique. The Acrylic/Transparent theme, Fluent language design for browser UI, Provide run/open/save/save-as for downloaded files etc..Please Don't1. Integrate the new Edge browser with Google in any way.2. make the browser address bar smaller like Google chrome. Please Do1. make the browser UI Consistent, all the button should be square like the rest of the Microsoft products design.2. Add Read Aloud for PDFs. currently only available for web pages.3. Add an ability to auto scroll PDF files. when we are reading an article or book in PDF, the auto scroll would help so we don't need to use our mouse scroll all the time.

eduardobragaxz Currently in the Edge insider Canary toolbar, the bookmarks'/favorites' highlight animation shadow is circle while the rest of the shadow highlights are square (e.g the ellipsis menu, extension buttons, collections button, favorites button), that's called inconsistency.the Edge classic has square UI but this circular UI is coming from google chrome and it's ruining Microsoft's design.IMO Microsoft should implement their own Fluent Design system to the new Edge insider and get rid of these.

KoshyG Google is a data mining company, even if users don't use Google services on Edge browser, the fact that they will be inside Microsoft Edge browser is problematic. lots of people choose Microsoft Edge to get away from Google. Microsoft spent lots of time scrapping Google services and tools from the Chromium source and create a Google-free browser. that doesn't make slightest sense to bring them back. also if syncing bookmarks is the case, users can already import them from browser to browser using the built in options. and if anything, Google must add Microsoft account support to their browser First.

David Rubino Just another regular "vote" for "Bring the tab set aside feature from the current version of Microsoft Edge" which is the #1 thing I miss from Classic Edge (followed by "Ask Cortana"). When each summary post appears, I look hopefully to see this feature move from "Under Review" to "Planned"! p.s. I was very happy to see Sync Open Tabs finally appear in Dev on my desktop so now I can pull tabs in from my other two systems -- weirdly, it's still not accessible in Canary on my desktop (while both Dev and Canary on my Mac and my laptop all have this).

Top feedback summary for October 15

Hi everyone, this week’s update is a quick one. This week we’re highlighting one piece of top feedback that’s been addressed: You can now remove the Send feedback smiley button from the toolbar.

Please bring back support for epub reader which is one of the best I've used. Also bring the search and contents for pdf in the old edge.

  Epub supporting is ending in classic Edge and they're not going to add it to the new one, PDF is a better and alternative format, you can easily convert your Epub files to PDF, almost all books these days offer PDF version.

    HotCakeX, EPUB and PDF are entirely different beasts. PDF is page based and includes page-based formatting, a fixed aspect ratio, etc. PDF is for printing. EPUB is flowable, like HTML, and does not have "pages" as such, fluidly changes between portrait and landscape (or any other aspect ratio). Yes, it can be printed, like a web page, but unlike in a PDF, the user can typically change the font size, background colors, etc.
    
    Yes, you could print an EPUB, like a web page, to PDF, but because they're such different systems, that destroys all the flexibility of the original EPUB.

I've sent to you several times feedback about the Feedback tool in Edge Canary, it doesn't show the screenshot, you always get a black screen. In Edge Dev work perfectly, I would like to take this issue in consideration because it's hard not to use screenshots to explain anything mostly if you're not an english native like me.

I hope you check this.

I'm also voting for the 'set aside' feature of the old Edge because as a student I found myself and I think many more being very appreciatable about that one.

Also the ability to draw on web pages or even an pdf is really helpful for daily tasks.
Right now I'm fine using the old edge for that kind of task but for future inprovements on the new one are those ones a must have.

Also I'm seeing more battery usage on the new Edge the old one is still king in this scope.
I don't know how much you guys can improve that one because of the new architecture but maybe introducing a low power mode would be an option.

David Rubino Feature Request : Fullscreen Tab Navigation

Dear Good people at Microsoft,

I kindly request you to improve Tab Navigation while using Full screen. Firefox has made their navigation such a joy to use if you're working on multiple tabs as you can see in the images below. If you have multiple tabs and you want to move to the next full screen tab, all you need to do is to hover your mouse to the tab area, and you'll be able to navigate to the next full screen tab without having to exit, previous tab returns back to full screen.

Microsoft Edge on the other hand requires you to exit full screen on the current tab in order to navigate to the next tab. You have to click full screen button to exit or press F11 THEN Click full screen button again or press F11 to open the next tab. There's just too much unnecessary clicks and pressing buttons if you have work that involves a lot of going back and forth.

Firefox has a decent implementation that improves ease of use. I kindly ask you to relay this information to Edge developers for consideration and implementation. It will be one more reason that Microsoft will give us to keep sticking with Edge instead of jumping back to Firefox.

David Rubino I would still like Edge to be able to generate passwords when you setup accounts on sites like chrome does, this is a great feature to ensure we use complex passwords instead of using the same one over and over.

Is anything being planned to fix the "hide sites" that keep showing up on my "customized" feed? The sites are listed under the hidden sites section of my custom choices. Yet, articles regularly appear on my feed page. Very annoying.

  about that, some people here thought it was a bug (while it actually was a new feature), so the developers removed it due to Some people's complains.

Latest update is causing Edge to crash/close when opening a new tab to some (most) links to a new web page.

If I right click on the link and copy & paste it to the address bar and then go to the web page, it works fine.

David Rubino - make all UI elements consistently round or square. Change the border radius of all elements to whatever the Windows UI team has decided on 😉

Currently, the favorites bar hover looks like this:
and it simply doesn't "fit" with the rest the UI.
