Agreed, it is much better than Google Chrome, but still there are rounded corners around current tab, it doesn't look consistent when you are using Microsoft products for many years. It causes illusion of (or actual) space wastage. Further, it is replacement of Original Edge, so it should retain best of UI like square tabs, scrollable tabs when there are large number of tabs, Fluent, preview of tabs, Set Aside, etc. YMV.

Could you be more specific as to how a tiny little (1 pixel) of rounded corner can cause such a Huge inconsistency that you're referring to?
and which other programs will be inconsistent if the Edge insider keeps its (1 pixel) curves that are barely noticeable?
- basil3143Oct 10, 2019Brass ContributorIf you feel it is tiny 1px, better it gets removed. It is easily noticeable to me. There are many apps like Outlook, Office apps, Visual Studio to name a few. And yes that is causing huge inconsistency and making UI unbearable.

And yes that is causing huge inconsistency and making UI unbearable.Something that needs a magnifier to be even noticeable is not causing inconsistency, you're just focusing at it too much. the browser has a lot of other things to deal with at its current state. the UI is not final. better focus on missing features, sync options unavailable, bugs, performance etc and once they add fluent design elements then consistency will come with it
