I was wondering the same..one thing is for sure though, it's Not a bug that now they are a little rounded.
- basil3143Oct 10, 2019Brass ContributorAgreed, it is much better than Google Chrome, but still there are rounded corners around current tab, it doesn't look consistent when you are using Microsoft products for many years. It causes illusion of (or actual) space wastage. Further, it is replacement of Original Edge, so it should retain best of UI like square tabs, scrollable tabs when there are large number of tabs, Fluent, preview of tabs, Set Aside, etc. YMV.

basil3143, rounded corners are becoming part of Windows 10 and Microsoft in general, so I wouldn't worry about consistency.

Yes exactly, if anything, most modern programs are going towards smooth edges and not sharp edges. (not talking about Microsoft only but everyone including Microsoft). the rounded corners are smooth edges are the new trend

and which other programs will be inconsistent if the Edge insider keeps its (1 pixel) curves that are barely noticeable?
- basil3143Oct 10, 2019Brass ContributorIf you feel it is tiny 1px, better it gets removed. It is easily noticeable to me. There are many apps like Outlook, Office apps, Visual Studio to name a few. And yes that is causing huge inconsistency and making UI unbearable.
