Couple things with the new favorites menu:
I can no longer middle-click on a folder to open all of its contents into new tabs (this is how I've been browsing for years! I feel hamstrung haha).
I have an "Other Favorites" folder that I can no longer get rid of (its contents are empty, and I haven't imported anything).
Regarding some long standing stuff that's been a bother since chromium:
A group policy similar to one that we had with legacy edge to sync favorites to the old legacy internet explorer format (actual file directory on the PC) would be useful for legacy sync operations (iTunes for instance, only reads the classic IE favorites folder).
Still can't set new tab page to a specific URL (eg. "about:blank") unless the system is joined to a domain.

Internet Explorer is only here for very rare site compatibility situations, usually for lazy developers that don't update their local sites. there is no point in wasting any time on that.
for 99% of people, stuff that is in Edge about IE is bloatware and extra stuff that we would like to get rid of, just makes the browser heavy. 99% of people should suffer for 1%.
ITunes or whatever app needs to update their system to work with modern browsers.
IE is long dead, can't even call it legacy, EdgeHTML is legacy.
new Edge browser has on-premise sync feature.
