David Rubino Thank you for the summary! I see that excess CPU usage is a known issue. I'd like to draw your attention to this thread which suggests that, at least on MacOS, it may be related to the Defender SmartScreen feature; disabling that feature worked for me and CPU usage is now back to normal/acceptable levels.
