First of all, when you click, the left mouse button is more comfortable and easier to press than the middle mouse button. Second, whether it is the middle mouse button or CTRL+ pressing left mouse button to open the favorites, the page will open in the background without jumping to a new page. Of course, pressing Ctrl + Shift + left mouse button at the same time can achieve the desired effect, but it is very troublesome. It is not as convenient as clicking the left mouse button to open the favorite. I understand, but there are things you need to adapt to.
I might want to change a lot of things in browsers too but they will only be my own preference and majority of people wouldn't benefit from them.
so when there are already 3 ways to do something, not many people will benefit from adding yet another way for the same thing.
