Whatever became of "smooth scrolling"? It was a specifically highlighted item on the Insiders website early on. Seems to have just disappeared yet I have not seen, in Edge, what I was expecting as smooth scrolling. I do see that Edge is honoring the mouse settings in Windows 10.
Specifically, the lines scrolled up in Edge are relative to the "how many lines to scroll each time" setting. However, even at the lowest setting of 1 line, the scroll in Edge is jerky and not smooth. To be clear, my yardstick for "smooth scrolling" is the behavior seen in Firefox. With it, the screen feels directly attached to the mouse wheel and moves in direct proportion. In other words, micro-movement in increments of far less than a whole line. To get the equivalent in Edge, it would seem that the mouse settings would have to allow for a minimum of 0.1 instead of 1 line. Am I expecting something in Edge that is not going to come? Is the fact that "smooth scrolling" disappeared from the to-do list an indication that what we have is as good as it is going to get?
