Greetings, Insiders! We have several updates to provide you, so let’s just jump into it!
First, we’re adding a new item this week! Add option to remove previous search terms from the New Tab Page’s search box auto-suggestion list is currently Under Review. We’ve heard from users like yourselves that you are looking for the search bar on the new tab page to have the option to clear previous search terms. The team is reviewing this, and we’ll provide updates as we get them.
We’re really excited to announce that one item is moving to Addressed, Support read aloud of PDF files. Fawkes posted an article from the team about how to try out the feature in our Dev and Canary channels. Have more feedback about this feature? Please drop a note in that thread or submit feedback via the in-app feedback tool. Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback in the past about this so the team can understand where you’re coming from when you use the read aloud feature!
Additionally, we’re ready to move Bring the Ask Cortana feature from the current version of Microsoft Edge from In Discussion to Planned. We encourage you to review the new sidebar search option that we recently implemented. Please give us your thoughts on this feature over in the thread Maryam posted a couple weeks ago.
Lastly, we are moving Mouse cursor sometimes disappears from In Discussion to Planned for June. We’ve recently implemented improvements that we feel cover a lot of the issues users have reported seeing, however we encourage you to submit feedback via the browser if you still notice issues with your mouse cursor disappearing. It’s important to note that your mouse cursor should disappear if you are watching a video or if you are using a trackpad. Head over to the discussion thread to let Clay and team know if you’re seeing this still.

MissyQ , PLEASE tell me that you are working on a way to make this application optional or at least have an uninstall option. While the browser may be usable, I refuse to be forced to use it when I am comfortable with my chosen browser. There is no need for a unused and will stay unused software to be on my computer.
PLEASE help with this.

joel915 This was brought by a windows update, so going back an update might do it. However, it is dangerous to do that because your computer will be vulnerable to attacks. Eventually your computer will not boot up without an update to protect you, but that is not for two years or so. I understand your frustration and can sympathize as it took me a while of duel using both browsers to get comfortable with this one. If you can uninstall it, I suggest duel using Legacy and Beta until you are comfortable enough.
Just a note, Legacy edge is still here, but it is overridden by the new one. Try looking online for solutions, specifically for Enterprises because they will have more content on the subject than most places.

relu84 MissyQ One of Edges big features is accessibility and the extra padding helps with touchscreen accessibility. The padding is here to stay. However, they could add an option in appearances in settings to "Add extra padding" and have it tuned on by default.
Edit: what were you doing that made those tabs so big? Flags? Tablet mode?
- cjc2112 - I did nothing, it was like that in one Canary version, seems to have been fixed the next day.
Anyway, doesn't Windows itself have a touch mode? Why can't Edge switch to larger menus depending on whether this setting is enabled system wide? I'm all for accessibility and touch but if I'm on a non-touch device and do not use accessibility settings... things should not be bigger than in the rest of the operating system UI.

Just reminder for Cortana option that please make sure it has smart integration with Bing so it understand whether we are searching location , translate a text, search for person and so on. It should have deep integration with Bing.
