History and open tabs sync is still controlled feature rollout, it's not available to everyone and not available to all regions, easily verifiable when using VPN of other countries.

it is available to Canary, Dev, Beta channels, (I have all 4 installed), and you will see it, if you're chosen to test that feature.

 

CFR = controlled feature rollout. Edge team usually randomly select a subset of insiders and enable specific features to them only, for testing and once it's more stable, they expand that group and eventually enable it for everyone.

I just installed the last beta version and history/open tabs is still greyed out

    Yup, sorry if my previous comment wasn't clear enough, I meant that History and open tabs sync are available in Canary/Dev/Beta but still, and at the same time, a controlled feature rollout, only available to some people in some regions.
