Yes, I have. I would like to set a custom URL for the NTP due to personal preference for the Google search engine over the Bing search engine. The results I receive from Bing are not as helpful as the results I receive from Google. I know that I can set my default search engine to Google and search a NTP using the address bar, but I would prefer to switch the NTP from Bing search to Google search.

One of the best outcomes of switching from EdgeHTML to Chromium is that now we don't need to wait for developers to implement something. just search for whatever you like and there is a high chance an extension is made for it. - Drew1903Dec 31, 2019Silver Contributor

But, why doesn't setting theaddresssearch bar to google and using NTP do the trick for you? It's, still, a search bar, same as the one in the middle of the page... well, same functionally, BUT, you can have it using google(and w/ NTP).
