The padding in the omnibox suggestions has returned to normal in the latest Canary version.
Since a few days ago, the padding in the suggestions was too big, today Microsoft has fixed this issue:
This issue is present in the Dev version released yesterday.

If the issue was corrected in the Canary Channel it should propagate to the Dev and Beta Channels eventually.
