Suggestions for improve darken webpages option on Edge Android
I saw that Edge Android recently introduced a change to the darken webpages option, which now darkens the pages using a full black theme instead of a gray theme as it was before. Honestly I would prefer the old theme, but I guess I'm in the minority.
The problem with the current theme is that it's too aggressive and ends up affecting elements other than the website background such as images and emojis, inverting and/or changing the colors, something that didn't happen with the old darkening, with a gray theme.
Twitter/X for example, is one of the websites most affected by this. Profile images, especially those with very light or very black colors, have their colors inverted, in addition to emojis that are disfigured. Twitter already has a native dark mode, so it doesn't need dark mode.
It's bad having to turn the option to darken webpages on and off on Edge Android every time I switch between a website that already has a native dark mode and one that doesn't. Most of the time I leave it off and only turn it on when I intend to spend considerable time on a website with a completely white background because of this inconvenience.
As a way to improve this, I would like to suggest two improvements:
The first is to implement a feature that already exists on Vivaldi Android. Vivaldi has an option to enable/disable dark mode individually for each website instead of just globally (For all websites). Additionally, the browser saves your selection, meaning that when you revisit the website, the browser will remember your dark mode selection for it.
The second is to add theme options to darken webpages option. Basically allow user to choose between current total black theme or old grayish theme.
