Oct 11, 2019Shortcut key to access reading mode?
Am I overlooking this, but is there no shortcut for accessing reading mode?
The old edge has it as far as I know, and using the same shortcut key in current Edge would just do overriding-cache reloading instead. My suggestion though, if it's getting implemented, it'd be better to use "alt+R" instead of "ctrl+shift+R." As far as I know the "alt+R" key isn't bind yet, and the latter one is already known for being overriding-cache reloading shortcut.

- gardenvv290Brass ContributorIs reading view working for you? In 79.0.300.0 it won't show up at all.
- Try visiting this site:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/provisioning-packages/provisioning-install-icd
and see if you will see the Reading View mode (Immersive reader) icon on the address bar.
if not, check in your flags and see if this flag is enabled:
Microsoft Edge Reading View
Enables Reading view in Microsoft Edge – Mac, Windows
#edge-reading-view- gardenvv290Brass ContributorThanks, it worked on that site. I was trying a dozen other random websites and it didn't work. They need to fix it to where it can work on any site rather than specific ones that meet a certain criteria.
