Sharing from MS Edge Beta
"Sharing" web pages no longer loads the options panel in Edge Beta (snip below from Edge). Are others experiencing this? (At least Edge Beta not crashing as it was a couple of weeks ago.) ...
So yes...they have fixed the share feature so that it no longer displays a blank box. But...it is still putting an unrelated, inappropriate picture above the URL and unrelated, inappropriate text below the URL. And yes, the delete button takes care of that. But having correct, related pictures and text certainly enhances the share feature and makes it more attractive to use. So we hope the engineers will soon fix this problem, too. Thanks.
Mine's displaying just like it used to; no pictures.
- is it Windows 10 (which I use) vs. Windows 11? My Edge settings don't have a way to share anything but the link of the page.
- Hmmm....I don't know if that would be controlled by a setting/preferences or what, but until it started acting goofy and giving unrelated pictures and text, mine always gave a pertinent picture and text. Just before I saw your post in email, I shared in the beta version, a Mayo Clinic website and it properly displayed a Mayo Clinic logo/picture and appropriate text below the URL. A couple of hours earlier, when I went to share a story about a former Tesla engineer expressing concerns, it showed a picture of a missile and text about the war in Ukraine. Go figure.
