Canary. Yes, its a recent issue, and I think its meant to save battery, but this is the wrong way to do it.

    cjc2112 This issue is not resolved. Version 101.0.1210.39 & several versions earlier exhibit the exact same behavior:
    
    1. Leave Win 11 pluged in
    2. Play any video in Edge not full screen & the display does not dim
    3. Make the video full screen & watch your display brightness: It will dim.
    
    1. Unplug Win 11
    2. Play any video in Edge not full screen & the display does not dim
    3. Make the video full screen & it does not dim
    
    Through my eyes, no web browser should have that level of OS control to adjust my disply settings. I don't know if this is "just a forum" or if it actually reaches the correct folks @MS.
