It is surely that the thing that Edge uses to detect if it is a tablet or a desktop wasn't fully correct.. So now the update was released, it is probably detecting!
I think this is a handy feature for those with Surface Pro's or such as I have heard tons of people want a touch friendly Edge!

- That's a waste. If Microsoft bothers to see the reports, then they will know that there are far more people who use Desktop or Laptops than Tablets. Edge is not used in other operating systems too. Edge users are maximum Windows users.
According to statcounter website, Only 0.51% of Tablet users use Microsoft Edge whereas 11% desktop users use Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft should have given the option or at least any information for it.

Brian- I’m on laptop and I don’t see any option to turn off Touch Mode, what do I do?
