Thats great Brian!
It is surely that the thing that Edge uses to detect if it is a tablet or a desktop wasn't fully correct.. So now the update was released, it is probably detecting!
I think this is a handy feature for those with Surface Pro's or such as I have heard tons of people want a touch friendly Edge!

- Brian256Brass ContributorThat's a waste. If Microsoft bothers to see the reports, then they will know that there are far more people who use Desktop or Laptops than Tablets. Edge is not used in other operating systems too. Edge users are maximum Windows users.
According to statcounter website, Only 0.51% of Tablet users use Microsoft Edge whereas 11% desktop users use Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft should have given the option or at least any information for it.
Well, thanks for your help and support Shawn
Brian- AnonymousThey do give the option to turn it off, and its automatic detects if on desktop/tablet and shouldn't need to worry.
- DAOLDMANAGERCopper ContributorI’m on laptop and I don’t see any option to turn off Touch Mode, what do I do?
