Opening Links From Favorites?

Just switched back to Edge from Firefox, as I missed the performance and page rendering of Edge.  But, upon coming back, I noticed that I can't find any setting that allows me to open a favorites link in a new tab.  I recall I used to be able to do this in Edge.

Was this removed?  If so, why?  Is it planned for an upcoming release?

I'd say that this goes in the category of expected behaviors from a UX perspective, for any browser.  Should I submit a request for this?

TIA,

-bjk

Select Settings and more > Favorites
In the Favorites window, right-click the Favorites bar .
Select  "Open all", or "Open all in new window" or "Open all in new InPrivate window

You can also right click any link and open in a new tab or window, assuming that the site doesn't disable that option.

Additionally you can hold the Ctrl key and then click the respective link to open it in a new tab. If you want to open the link on a new page, hold the Shift key and click the link.

Bing search also has some settings that let you open search results in a new tab or window without affecting how other links operate.

It's possible that the option to open favorites in a new tab is only available in Edge Canary. I'm not in front of my computer right now and I'm only using Canary at the moment.

Thanks Kevin.  I appreciate your feedback.

I am aware of every workaround to opening a link in a new window - by "workaround", I mean any additional interaction that a user needs to know to make something happen that should simply be available in the first place.

I know that I'll adjust to incorporating an interaction that I shouldn't have to learn to get what I need.  Good UX design should never put the user in this position.  From what I can tell with a bit or research, this expected feature used to be offered in Edge and was removed in the past year or two.

Again, thanks for your help so far!
