- Apr 05, 2021Same problem around here since august 2020. Yesterday, I found the flag #edge-window-tab-manager. If you disable it, the problem goes away. There's is a nausty bug with the integration of edge chromium in windows.

Helpfully, as of version 93 the ability to unexpire version 90 flags has been removed. There is now no way to get around the issue of Edge tabs piling up as File Explorer windows whenever I switch virtual desktops, which is unbelievably frustrating. What's more frustrating is it seems we're no closer to a fix than we were a year ago when this issue was first reported. Back to Chrome I suppose?

Looks like I've already got tab hover cards disabled, I imagine I've attempted this fix before 😞 so no luck there I'm afraid!
- paul-michalikSep 10, 2021Copper ContributorOn version 93.0.961.44, I have set all flags to defaults "edge://flags" -> "Reset all" and this weird explorer folders seem to be gone, at least for now. I have the feeling that they re-appear randomly as I swipe through the desktops and/or add and remove tabs
- banjoboy96Sep 15, 2021Copper ContributorI've tried this before and they definitely gradually start reappearing as I switch between virtual desktops. I'm now on 93.0.961.47 and there is still no change.
