Notifications not working correctly Version 84.0.495.2 (Official build) dev (64-bit)
hussain5416 Thank you for reporting this issue. I can receive notifications from gmail on a recent canary build (84.0.508.0). To receive messages from gmail, you must leave a gmail tab or window open in the browser.
Unlike gmail, Outlook and twitter use push notifications. Push notifications enable Outlook and twitter to show notifications while closed as long as the browser’s running.
We've also been experimenting with new quieter notifications permission UI. Are you sure that you gmail permission to show notifications?
You can double check Edge's notification permissions by navigating to edge://settings/content/notifications.

Steve_Becker Thanks for the reply and yeah you are right about gmail, it needs atleast one tab or window of gmail opened to get notifications, thanks for clarifying, But can you answer my question in below pic after reading the above posts...
