New tab opened when lanuched Edge

Every time I start Edge, a new tab is opened which I do not want. How can I disable it? This started to happen few builds ago.

    marbaa Current Version 81.0.394.0 I have installed was still doing the issue. I uninstalled it, and installed again and that fixed issue. Strange.

      HotCakeX Current Cannary Version 81.0.389.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)

      Dev Verzia 81.0.381.0 (Oficiálna zostava) dev (64-bitová verzia) happens too.

       

      Beta Version 79.0.309.63 (Official build) beta (64-bit) is okay

        Try disabling your extensions,
        reset Edge settings: edge://settings/reset

        if none of them work, clean uninstall Canary (choose to remove user data during uninstall) and reinstall it again.

    marbaa I'm going to assume that this isn't a virus. I would go to the startup section in edge://settings/onStartup to see if this is the issue. 'Continue where you left off' is the Default(I think?), but someone might have changed it to 'open new tab.'

      cjc2112 No, that is not a virus. Happens on desktop and corporate work notebook. I have set 'Continue where you left off'. Tried to set 'Open new tab' do some tests, then set back to 'Continue..', didn't helped.
