Name Browser Window
Rohit Yadav Naming windows is an essential feature, but it should be persistent (Edge should remember the names after shutting down and restarting). It isn't persistent on my system. Not sure if this is a bug or by design.

Rohit Yadav If so, that's a design decision I don't understand. Why restore sessions, with all their windows and tabs from the previous session, but leave out the names of the windows? For someone like me, who typically keeps 1 to 2 dozen windows open at a time, that's a non-starter.
My primary browser is Firefox, which has the ability to restore window names from a previous session. This is such a triviality, I'd be surprised if there's any major browser out there other than Edge that lacks this ability (but I haven't actually checked).
I'm trying out Edge mostly out of curiosity, but possibly to switch. So far, I'm not impressed with Edge, and in fact I've been quite surprised at how much Microsoft has struggled to reliably implement even trivial/simple features like tab groups and naming windows, even while relying on Google's Chromium engine. My opinion is that releasing Edge in its current state is damaging Microsoft's reputation, especially among technical people who would know how easy such thing would be to implement. I think they should either withdraw Edge until they can get a respectable implementation, or assign some competent programmers to work on it ASAP.

By "partial" I mean that some, but not all, of the window titles are restored. This shows me that Microsoft is indeed attempting to implement this feature, but is so far incapable of doing so reliably.
To reiterate, I think they should shut Edge down, or reassign better programmers to the task. Microsoft is going to go down a few pegs in reputation in the eyes of anyone who tries out Edge.
