Thanks, you helped a lot, just like the other commenters, because if we ask Microsoft, they probably won’t reply. :D Cheers!

This worked beautifully! I happened to have a backup from a previous installation of Ubuntu. I copied over the file located in the .config/microsoft-edge/Default folder named HubApps to my new installation of Ubuntu in the same folder which mysteriously was missing that file. I closed Edge, reopened it, and voila! It works! Thank you!

Zazo58 You are 100% correct. The install is missing the HubApps file. I pulled it from another computer running windows and that fixed it. I can use Drop again. I broke out the instructions below.
- Get a HubApps file from another install of Edge that is working.
- In Windows it can be found in C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User_Data\Default
Show Hidden Files:
Open your file manager.
Press CTRL+H to show hidden files and directories.
Navigate to Configuration Files:
Go to your Home directory.
Open the .config folder.
Locate Edge Configuration:
Inside .config, find and open the microsoft-edge folder.
Look for the Default subfolder within microsoft-edge.
Restore Missing Files:
If you have an older backup of your system, locate the HubApps file from your backup.
Copy the HubApps file from your backup to the Default folder inside the microsoft-edge directory.

This works.
I just want to add that this must be done for each profile you set up.For instance, I have personal and work profiles, and the latter is saved under the "Profile 1"
