Missing history button in Edge Stable?
- Mar 14, 2021
Hi,
This is probably still a controlled feature rollout, like I mentioned in my other comment, the release note says nothing about it.
you're talking about history flyout, well, favorites flyout came even before that but one of my Edge stable installations doesn't even have that.

frogman2205 I talked with the team, and it looks like this is indeed a lingering rollout as HotCakeX mentioned, so there's not much you can do other than maybe uninstalling and reinstalling to try to get into a different rollout population.
- frogman2205May 14, 2021Brass Contributorjosh_bodner, Today my PC updated to Version 90.0.818.62 (Official build) (64-bit) this has NOT resolved the issue where on the PC I have User account A on that PC that does not show the button still, and on Windows user accounts B and C which shows the button as expected with the new rollout.
I no longer believe this is 'an expected behavior' as that PC shows the new history functionality with all accounts except the one Windows User Account. As mentioned before I have deleted the Edge profile associated with that user account and reset Edge, any other suggestions would be welcome.- DanielRyanMay 15, 2021Brass ContributorYep I too am running Version 90.0.818.62 (Official build) (64-bit) and also still have no sign of this History menu. It's really starting to seem like this is a bug at this point but since we don't have any information from the Edge team about the rollout of this feature it's difficult to know if it's a bizarrely slow feature rollout. I feel at this point I might only get this feature in a few years when I upgrade my computer because it doesn't seem to like something about this one.
- frogman2205Mar 21, 2021Brass Contributorjosh_bodner, Today I updated to version 89.0.774.57, and on the same PC I have User account A on that PC that does not show the button still, and user account B and C which shows the button as expected with the new rollout. On a different PC I have the Micorsoft user account A and it also show the button correctly in the new way. IF my account of PC is lagging in the rollout, why does it work like this?

why does it work like that?
to help them quickly identify issues that may impact performance and reliability, so not everyone will be affected at the same time.
more info:
like I said, it has nothing to do with being correct or incorrect, just how it is. and unlike other users claim, it's not a problem nor a bug. developer said it's still a staged rollout.
if you want and can't wait, try the Beta channel. it's officially supported too.
