Middle-click to close tab non-functional in Dev/Canary builds
In the current dev and canary builds, middle-click does not work to close tabs. This functionality is present in the stable EdgeHTML version of Edge. Are other people experiencing this same behavior....

trying on Version 80.0.361.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit),
it is working fine for me.
you can try uninstall/reinstalling your Edge see if it fixed it
